[IMCAS Asia 2026 Special ⑳ | Interview] "The Center of Gravity Is Shifting Toward Korea" — Danielle Raballo, Commercial Director, and Kyle Park, International Sales Manager, Cynosure Lutronic
The idea that the center of gravity in global medical aesthetics is shifting toward Korea is no longer new — the questions now are "why" and "for how long." At IMCAS Asia 2026 in Bangkok, we sat down with Danielle Raballo, Commercial Director for APAC Distributor Markets, and Kyle Park, International Sales Manager for APAC, at Cynosure Lutronic — the energy-based device (EBD) company formed in 2024 through the merger of U.S.-based Cynosure and Korea-based Lutronic. Raballo said that as one of the few remaining major global EBD manufacturers, it is only fitting that Cynosure Lutronic should find its place in Korea. Park, while noting that "North America is still the largest medical aesthetics market," said this momentum — which began with K-dramas, moved through cosmetics, and has now reached medical devices — can be sustained by supporting it with a strong scientific foundation and continuing to meet clinicians' needs. On display at the booth were XERF, which the company introduced as the world's first multifrequency monopolar RF combining 6.78- and 2-MHz frequencies, along with PicoSure Pro, DermaV, and Ultra.
