[IMCAS Asia 2026 Special ㉑ | Interview] "We See No Direct Competitor for CureJet at This Point" — Euny Song, Overseas Sales Team Leader, BAZ BIOMEDIC
A device built on a genuinely new approach has to clear one more step beyond regulatory approval and clinical evidence: becoming familiar in clinicians' hands. At IMCAS Asia 2026 in Bangkok, we spoke with Euny Song, Overseas Sales Team Leader at BAZ BIOMEDIC, the manufacturer of the needle-free injector CureJet. Song said the company sees no direct competitor for CureJet in overseas markets, pointing to its ability to deliver liquid formulations in controlled, uniform doses without a needle. According to the company, BAZ BIOMEDIC posted more than KRW 10 billion in revenue in 2025 and sells through distributors in more than 10 Asian countries, with over 100 units sold in Taiwan in 2025 alone. Song identified two main challenges in the company's overseas expansion: pioneering the regulatory pathway for what it calls a first-of-its-kind device, and users' unfamiliarity with the product. The company is defending its patents to deter similar products and providing physician training to ease adoption.
