Prof. Wonserk Kim: Exploring the Clinical Value and Future of the Six-Pulse Mode in Q-Switched Laser Treatment

Professor Wonserk Kim of Kangbuk Samsung Hospital has published a comparative study on single-pulse and six-pulse modes of the 1,064 nm Q-switched Nd: YAG laser, using LTRA Global’s Miin Laser as the research device. According to Professor Kim, the six-pulse mode of the Miin Laser divides the same total energy into six consecutive sub-pulses, enhancing melanin-targeting efficiency while minimizing damage to surrounding tissues. He explained that this mechanism works like receiving several gentle taps instead of one strong punch—lower peak power, yet safer and more effective overall. Introducing the concepts of Thermal Stacking and the Dual Effect, Professor Kim highlighted that the Miin Laser can simultaneously target melanin and stimulate dermal remodeling, achieving both pigment correction and collagen regeneration in a single procedure. Through this study, Professor Kim hopes to encourage physicians to re-examine the fundamental structure and operating principles of Q-switched lasers. He also predicts that while current systems divide a single wavelength into multiple pulses, the future will move toward multi-wavelength, multi-pulse technology, enabling multiple wavelengths to be emitted within a single shot for more precise and personalized treatments.

[ASLS KOREA 2026 Spring ②] 'Is It Really Safe?' — In the Skin Booster Market, the First Question Physicians Ask Is Changing

This is part two of our on-site coverage from the ASLS KOREA 2026 Spring Congress. The skin booster and drug delivery sections drew as much attention as the EBD halls. Active ingredients are diversifying rapidly — PCL, PDLLA, CaHA, HA, human acellular dermal matrix, exosomes, TCA — and so are the approaches, spanning injectable and topical formats, biostimulators and hydration- and regeneration-focused formulations. Yet across every booth, the first response from clinicians converged around a single question: "Is it really safe?" As ingredient options diversify, the demand for rigorous validation of nodule risk and adverse events is rising in parallel — a shift that was unmistakable on the exhibition floor. We visited skin booster and drug delivery company booths to report firsthand.  #MedicalAestheticNews #ASLSKOREA2026 #ASLS #VAIM #HIGHERCorporation #BAZBIOMEDIC #Curiosis #reH #Humedix #WiQo #DNCAesthetics #HuonsMeditech #Dexlevo #PrimorisInternational ★ Article Link: http...

[Hands-On] The Power of Quasar Tension from the Scalp! Full-Face ‘SUNNY’ Lifting by Dr. Hyungdon Yoon_Part 1

Dr. Hyungdon Yoon of Toxnfill Clinic Gangdong Cheonho has released a hands-on demonstration video showcasing his treatment techniques using the Quasar Tip of SUNNY, the premium RF lifting device by SHENB. As the No. 1 user of the Virtue RF tip for two consecutive years (2023 and 2024), Dr. Yoon now highlights the core principles of SUNNY and demonstrates his most effective treatment strategies. According to Dr. Yoon, the Quasar Tip delivers precise targeting and deep thermal energy, working directly on the facial ligaments to regenerate stretched ligaments and create a natural lifting effect. Notably, SUNNY is the first RF device capable of treating the scalp, allowing practitioners to strengthen the scalp ligaments and support the entire face from above — a unique and innovative approach. Dr. Yoon emphasizes that SUNNY improves elasticity without reducing fat, enabling vertical facial shortening and enhanced horizontal lifting without concerns of volume loss. He also highlights t...

Less Pain, Longer Results — The Evolution of Skin Booster Injectors, Derma Shine Duo RF

Dr. Hoyeon Choi of Clim Clinic is actively utilizing a new multi-needle injector that combines radiofrequency (RF) technology with skin booster treatments. According to Dr. Choi, this device adds RF functionality to the conventional multi-needle injector, creating synergistic effects in drug delivery, skin texture improvement, elasticity enhancement, and extended duration of results. He also highlighted reduced drug loss and less pain compared to manual injections as key advantages. Furthermore, he noted that when combined with existing monopolar RF or HIFU devices, the elasticity improvement effects become even more pronounced, making it a highly recommended option especially for international patients who cannot visit frequently. #MedicalAestheticNews #HuonsMeditech #DermaShine_Duo_RF #ClimClinic_Myeongdong #Dr_HoYeon_Choi ★ Article Link: https://www.aestheticnews.co.kr/news/articleView.html?idxno=10960
