[Top Rankers] 2025 SUNNY Top Ranker — Dr. Gwahn Woo Cheon, Maylin Clinic Pangyo: 'A Device That Delivers Both Efficacy and Cost-Effectiveness'

In the field of aesthetic medicine, high device usage is more than a number — it reflects accumulated clinical expertise and patient trust. The Top Rankers series spotlights physicians who have achieved consistently high real-world usage in their own practices. This installment features Dr. Gwahn Woo Cheon of Maylin Clinic Pangyo, named Top Ranker for SHENB's combined monopolar-bipolar RF platform, Sunny. Having worked extensively with major monopolar RF devices, he chose Sunny as his primary platform for its ADRT technology — expanding indications from lifting to melasma and pigmentation — and the Quasar tip's ability to conform to curved anatomy and the scalp. Describing Sunny as "a device that delivers both efficacy and cost-effectiveness," Dr. Cheon shares his full-face 1,200-shot 'Double Sunny' protocol, his Soft mode level 2.5 'golden parameter,' and insights from a melasma clinical study with Professor Kyunghee Byun's team.  #MedicalAesthet...

[KIMES 2026 Special ②] Delivery, Combination, and Formulation: The Growth Engines Beyond EBD

KIMES 2026 Special, Part 2. Following Part 1 on the evolution of energy-based devices, we covered the new growth engines emerging beyond EBD. Clinical interest is no longer confined to energy-based devices alone. How drugs reach the dermis, how energy and drugs are combined in a single procedure, and how the range of available formulations is expanding — delivery, combination, and formulation are increasingly shaping the competitiveness of the overall treatment strategy. Needle-free injectors and needle-based delivery platforms are changing how drugs reach the dermis. A hybrid injector combining drug injection and RF in one device has emerged. And companies are expanding their formulation portfolios beyond exosomes to include biostimulators and HA fillers for the combination-treatment era. We visited four companies — BAZ BIOMEDIC, Curiosis, Huons Meditech, and Primoris International — on the exhibition floor to document this shift firsthand.  #MedicalAestheticNews #KIMES2026 ...

The Reference Injector in Medical Aesthetics Raises the Bar with DermaShine Duo RF

The skin booster market is evolving beyond simple drug delivery toward multi-modality treatments. As patients and clinicians increasingly look beyond a single-modality approach, there is growing interest in integrated injectors that combine drug infusion and radiofrequency stimulation in one platform. The Dermashine Duo_RF is a next-generation hybrid injector designed to meet this demand, accelerating the collagen response and improving delivery efficiency. We sat down with Dr. Jonghoon Lee of Lyzbelle Clinic, who has used the Dermashine series — the established reference in injector technology — since 2015, to discuss synergies with polymers, PRP, and exosomes, reduction in treatment sessions, real-world RF parameter settings, and combination treatment strategies. #MedicalAestheticNews #HuonsMeditech #Dermashine #Dermashine_Duo_RFShineDuoRF #LyzbelleClinic #DrJonghoonLee ★ Article Link: https://www.aestheticnews.co.kr/news/articleView.html?idxno=11006

The Final Piece in the Combination Treatment Puzzle: SCULPIO — How Dr. Jaehong Kim Keeps 'Skincare Nomads' Coming Back

With HIFU and RF firmly established as the two pillars of the lifting and tightening market, a picosecond laser-based approach known as PicoSculpting is emerging as a third option. LASEROPTEK's SCULPIO is a next-generation platform equipped with dedicated PS handpieces for PicoSculpting, adding facial contouring and skin tightening to the conventional pigment and toning repertoire. At the LEAD Symposium in January, Dr. Jaehong Kim of Yonsei Joeun Dermatology Clinic (Gwangmyeong) presented "The Start of 2026: My Choice Is SCULPIO." We sat down with Dr. Kim to discuss what led him to adopt SCULPIO, his combination treatment strategy, how he addresses the fine details that HIFU and RF leave behind, and how he keeps 'skincare nomads' coming back.  #MedicalAestheticNews #LASEROPTEK #SCULPIO #PicoSculpting #DrJaehongKim #YonseiJoeunDermatology ★ Article Link: https://www.aestheticnews.co.kr/news/articleView.html?idxno=11286

[KIMES 2026 Special ①] Indications Are Expanding, Global Expansion Is Accelerating — K-EBD Is Reshaping the Competitive Landscape

We visited KIMES 2026 in person. The 41st Korea International Medical & Hospital Equipment Show, held from March 19 to 22 at COEX in Seoul, drew approximately 1,490 exhibitors from 41 countries and more than 70,000 visitors. This year, the aesthetics pavilion 'BEAUTY & DERMA Seoul' expanded its floor space from the previous year, expanding the global reach of K-medical aesthetics. While AI and digital health dominated the exhibition floor, the medical aesthetics sector was telling a different story. Korean EBD companies — long established in overseas markets — are reshaping the competitive landscape not through higher power specs, but through indication expansion and global regulatory clearance. We visited the booths of six companies — LASEROPTEK, SHENB, VIOL Medical, LTRA Global, Chungwoo Medical, and Speclipse — to document this shift firsthand.  #MedicalAestheticNews #KIMES2026 #KMedicalAesthetics #LASEROPTEK #SHENB #VIOLMedical #LTRAGlobal #ChungwooMedical #Specli...
